A One of a Kind Christmas
They say you should write down your dreams, your goals, or wishes for the future. It sounds silly, your brain will tell you that'll never work. I've been there, thought there was no use in giving space to my "lofty" goals.
But I did it. I wrote that shit down. And wouldn't you know it, some of those dreams came true in 2020.
I've always been told "you need to put yourself out there" - sounds easy if you're an extrovert! Talking about myself or my business doesn't come easy to me. Markets aren't my favourite, there I said it. But there is one, one show that has been on my goals list. To be honest I didn't think it was a possibility.
The One of a Kind Show has been around since 1975 - it's a landmark show in Toronto. Running twice a year, once in the Spring and again for the Christmas season it is something that can't be missed if you love shopping handmade. My wife and I have been going almost every year we've been together. I always thought it would be cool to be a vendor but also thought it not very likely.
So yes, I was invited to be apart of the online edition of The One of a Kind Show. Maybe this means next time they open their doors for a in person show I'll have a booth! One can dream...
